Chris is the Director and a senior pharmacist at Eastmed Pharmacy. In addition to his leadership and management responsibilities, he maintains a primary interest in diabetes and asthma management. He studied pharmacy at University of Auckland, graduating with honours in 2007. After internship training at Eastmed Pharmacy he spent 4 years working in a medical centre pharmacy in Henderson where he was promoted to the management role in the dispensary in 2012. During this time, he earned his Master degree with first class honours from University of Auckland specialised in population health. His master thesis concentrated on the use of medication in different ethnic groups, with a primarily focus on Maori and Pacific Island populations across Waitemata District Health Board. He obtained certification in trimethroprim (urinary tract infection) prescribing from the New Zealand Collage of Pharmacist and is also an accredited facilitator for the community pharmacy anticoagulation monitoring programme. Chris is a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of New Zealand and also serves as a member of the professional conduct committee under the Pharmacy Council of New Zealand.
Chris enjoys gym training, cycling and the outdoors. He recently conquered the Tongariro crossing.

Jessica Wong

Jessica is a Director and a senior pharmacist of Eastmed Pharmacy. She has been working as a pharmacist for over 20 years. She graduated from the University of Otago with honours in 1993 and completed her internship at Baycare Urgent Pharmacy (now known as Eastmed Pharmacy). Over the years, she has gain significant interest in resthome medication management and is now in-charge of the medicine management programme for the resthomes we are currently providing service to.

Karen McClellan

Karen has been a pharmacist for 30 years and has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, having worked in retail pharmacy, as a sales representative for MSD, and in pharmaceutical publishing. She has worked in the UK and NZ, and is currently married with 2 children and living in Kohimarama.
Karen works at EastMed Pharmacy on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and as a freelance medical writer for the remainder of the week.

Radha Patel
Pharmacy Technician | Inventory Control
Radha is a qualified dispensary technician with over 28 years experience. 19 years of which has been at Eastmed Pharmacy. She has worked at two other pharmacies full-time and worked part-time at several more whilst bringing up her sons. In her spare time she enjoys reading and going to the theatre.
Radha is a very familiar face at Eastmed and is always happy to help with any queries you may have.
